Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It could be badly damaged and non reparable. These games could be possibly marked as stolen.

360 games are very easily damaged, many people have their 360 in and upright position, it the console moves the slightest bit when the game is spinning it can scratch the game and ruin it.

The shop I work in doesn't have any Modern Warfare 2 for rent on 360 cause they are all damaged. Lot of them have a perfectly round scratch all the way around the disc cause by the 360.

Hard to believe xtravision wouldn't shell out for a CD repair device to fix this little things. Or, you know, check the disc and charge the account holder for damage..

Why didn't you just install it then? The disc only spins up for a second when you first load the game, so it's hardly going to get scratched then...

You shouldn't have to install it though.

That said, I do prefer installing games I play frequently, in the hope of extending the life of the laser.

He wasn't talking about pirated discs (I think)

The correct term is pressed, not burned, for official discs ;)

On the dashboard, go to the My Xbox section (up one from the default Spotlight section). Hit Y for Disc Options and select Install from the list there.

Some people if they damage their own disk will then rent out the same game from xtra -vision and swap disc's, which imo is the main reason xtra vision ends up with a large amount of damaged disc's.

I agree customers do swap their games however you would think with all the money xtra vision make they would have more than one of the same game to rent and if one gets broken that they can replace it
i worked in these stores for years as a teenager and i know that if a game got broken it was a nightmare trying to get approval from manager or head office to take one off sell through and put on rental maybe if you feel so strongly about it write an email to the head office and complain but dont hold your breath that it will get you anywhere
