Hi there, for European art, we've covered 9 artists in school.

    Piero Della Francesca
    Massacio
    Fra Angelico
    Michelangelo
    Ghiberti
    Donatello
    da Vinci
    Giotto
    Raphael Santi

So my question is, do I have to be really familiar with all of these 9 artists, or if I were to pick out 5 or 6 would I get away with it?

Also, how many artworks from each artist should I be familiar with?

    Yours faithfully,

    a screwed art history student.

Haha ahh I wouldn't worry, my teachers a bit crap so I wouldn't be too suprised if he wasted time going over things that weren't necessary.

Needless to say we need advice from someone who knows what the story is!

Emmm... the only artist i know is Edgar Degas, and a bit on Manet and Renoir. If you think you're screwed, well....tbh i'd say you're grand with all of those artists. In our class we only did gothic and romanesque architecture for european (did impressionism myself) and in irish Newgrange and manuscripts.
The timetable is not too bad, but biology and art
1 or 2 artworks for each one should do
