Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Evening All :D

Just wondering about recommendations for the following dress. I'm thinking I could dress it up going bare legged and with a nice pair of shoes but what sort of shoes? I was trying to avoid cream if possible, as I just don't think they would work with it

I'm also thinking I could maybe make it a bit casual aswell, by maybe adding footless tights or something, [ Haven't really worked out all the details yet, but for 250smackers, I plan on using it!!!!!! :D ]

Any suggestions on bags also? I was thinking about wearing it to a summer wedding I'm going to in July. Do you think It's too casual for a wedding? Even with maybe black tights?
I'm also really clueless as to what sort of bag to wear with it, both to the wedding and to a less formal event.

[Also, it's a lot longer on me than the model as I'm only 5ft 2 :P]

    Wow, it's gorgeous!

Accessories wise, I'd look at the colours in the sequins for inspiration. You could go with the khaki, bright pink or orange.

For casual wear, I think it would look great with a tan leather across body bag, and some sandals. Bag like this.

At a wedding, a simple clutch bag is usually a winner. Something plain, as the dress has a lot of detail, again using the coloured sequins for direction.

The dress is gorgeous, I would go with some classic black heels and
a nice hair piece to finish off the look.

It's funny you say no cream, because cream was the first thing I thought when I saw the pic. I also notice they have cream heels in the ideas on the side.
Classic black heels would work though. I wonder if a dark red would work based on the sequins

I'd go for a black satin clutch with a bit of sparkle in it somewhere ( black sequins maybe) there's black in the dress and I think it would "catch" it. Black patent high high heels would be gorgeous with it aswell imo.

Personally i wudnt put black with this dress...not for a july wedding anyway...black is sucha a 'oh God i dnt have shoes for this..oh these will do' kinda colour it will dull down the amazingness of the dress totally!

Its a real statement piece so if u cud go down the 'let the dress do the talkin' route and go for sumthing like these http://www.barratts.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product1_10055_-1_142673_10553 - Great shoe..really high but v. comfy and go with loads of things coz their so neautral...will also go with this dress perfectly because they are a really pale grey and will compliment the silver/gray tones of the dress.

If u want to go for sumthing a little bolder and fashionable u cud try sum kind of strappy gladiator-esque shoe...http://www.asos.com/Asos/Asos-Hot-Leather-Platform-Studded-Sandal/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=778307&cid=4172&Rf-200=16&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=200&sort=-1&clr=Grey ...mayb not this exact shoe (not sure about the colour) but sumthing in this style just paler!

If u wana go dainty these cud work http://www.asos.com/Faith/Faith-Lorna-Jewel-Front-T-Bar-Platform-Sandals/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1029719&cid=4172&Rf-200=16&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=Grey

I wud deffinately stick to grey/silver tones and avoid black and cream.

Alternatively for a REALLY bold option u cud try and lay ur hands on sum of these bad boys to play on the colours of the sequiens http://www.shoewawa.com/riverisland_multistrapshoe.jpg the only problem is that they are about 1 or 2 yrs old from RiverIsland so u mite av to try Ebay...they did have a newer version more recently using the same colours that wer cooler with a diagonal strap but i cant find a picture at the mo.

Ok they are my dressy shoe ideas...if u want my ideas for casual looks/bags etc. let me no...u mite not like my style :)

    Enjoy the dress..its fab!!
