Eircom about to enable my local exchange - Am I tied to Eircom?

From speaking to Eircom they are close to enabling my local exchange. Once its ready for broadband I know I have to get a phone line, but do I have to go with Eircom for my broadband first ebfore going with anyone else?

No you can go with any of the eircom re-sellers
UTV, Vodafone, Digiweb etc
