Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Obscure facebook privacy settings

I heard Facebook's privacy settings mentioned on the news earlier in the week and also there's going to be a segment on the same topic on Newstalk 106FM shortly.

This prompted me to have a look through mine as it's been a long time, I may not have been thorough and the options will have been updated. The screenshot below is from a section I find obscure, it says, when referencing what your friends can share about you through applications & websites:
They will also be able to access your Connections, except the connections noted with an asterisk below.
As you can see there is no asterisk, only the option to tick or untick the boxes.

Can I assume they mistakenly typed asterisk instead of tick in the sentence, in which case I need to tick all the boxes to deny access to all my information?

Just with which of my private details are being shared across the Internet I'd like to be certain.

Hey I used this bookmarklet which shows up which privacy settings you need to change.

    http://www.reclaimprivacy.org/

It's not spam or a virus or anything like that. Really useful!

The code's open source so very unlikely to contain anything malicious. I applied it and then went through the settings manually.

    Thanks.
