Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Slight wobble in wheels of brand new bike - Help

Just bought a TREK 7.0FX from a bike shop in town, have noticed side to side wobble in the front wheel and a slight one in the back (when viewed spinning as they pass through break pads), opened the quick release and adjusted it but still slight wobble side to side - also catching on brake pads.

Guy said it was taken out of box that morning so how could the wheels be out of true already?
Will bring it back tommorrow. What is he likely to do to remedy this issue?

Should I ask for new bike out of box to be tuned up?

Any advice much appreciated , cheers

are you sure your wheel skewers are tight? would be the first thing to check before doing anything.

Not uncommon to be honest in new bikes, Ive seen them being basically flung off the trucks when being delivered.
Also some bikes spokes loose some tension when you ride them first, you get a pinging off the spokes.

The bike shop should have no problem truing the wheels, 2 sec job on a new bike.
