Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

New to the mh area, we're off to France and hopefully Germany this summer. Basic question, do you need to book a campsite in advance or can you just drive in unannounced?

No, but if you have something special in mind, then book by all means. Other than that just book at the gate.......................b:)

Repeat customers will sometimes book. We've booked a particular spot in Etang de la Breche, Loire Valley, Saumur. Third time going to same site. If we didn't reserve and book we could end up in a dusty ol corner spot.
Popular / good sites tend to have their good pitches snapped up.
    Up to yourself.

In August practically the whole of France goes to the beaches, if you want to go too at that time, you'd better book

If you are going in July/Aug to the beaches then you need to book. If you are going inland then you will be o.k. (you may have to go to a second site to find a place, but you will be o.k.).

We never book as we like the flexbility of moving around - but we are going next week and its never booked out in June!

    Enjoy.
