Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wondering how often in miles or km terms it's advisable to have a bike serviced and how much a run-of-the-mill service would normally cost in a Dublin LBS without having to replace major parts etc?

Bikes used for training or racing require regular cleaning and basic servicing which the rider should be capable of doing themselves. Basic servicing involves lubrication of moving parts, brakes adjustment/changing of pads, front & rear derailleur adjustment, brake and gear cable replacement. Tube repair/Tyre replacement. Wheel balancing is a specialist skill and not too many riders have it so best left for the work shop. Bikes stored indoors remain in better condition longer as they dry out from wet conditions sooner thus preventing errosion/corrosion or rust of vital parts.
