Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My laptop has never been able to play DVDs nor rip/burn CDs. Every time I try rip a CD, Windows Media Player says that "A CD Drive is needed in order to rip music from CDs". I've googled the problem but following the step by steps hasn't resulted in the problem being fixed yet.

I'm far from a computer expert so if you're going to try to explain how I can fix the problem then assume I know nothing about computers (not too far from the truth).

    Thanks in advance,
    Benny Lava

    a. missing drivers?
    b. bad DVD/CD drive
    c. faulty cables/connection
Do you see the DVD/CD drive in device manager?

Download this program and try that as an alternative (ruling out Media Player as the cause of the problem).

The program is called Imgburn and there is a guide to audio CD setup with the program here.
