Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Both correct delbertgrady. My selections are very limited by what movies I've watched in the last few weeks!

Well, despite those two, I don't think there's a Ryan Gosling link. :)

None of those correct I'm afraid.

    1. Angel Face (1952)? (I know that shot from something I saw very recently; I've been watching noirs for about two weeks and seen all the iconic ones.)

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,382 ✭✭✭Duffy the Vampire Slayer

No its not. Here's a small clue- two of the movies on this list are from the same iconic director.

    Otto Preminger maybe? If so:
    2. Bigger Than Life

    1. Strangers on a Train - surely. I often see that actor on the left and think of Hitch's Shadow of a Doubt for some reason. If I'm correct, it might mean 2 is... Marnie.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,382 ✭✭✭Duffy the Vampire Slayer

Correct Shazzerman. That leaves 4 and 6.

Is 4. Seven Samurai? or Hidden Fortress maybe?

  • Registered Users Posts: 638 ✭✭✭shazzerman

    Pure guesses:
    4. Une Partie de Campagne
    6. 4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days (that shot has an Eastern Euro feel to it - cannot quite place it).

    Is 6 High Fidelity?

  • Registered Users Posts: 638 ✭✭✭shazzerman

This is getting confusing. We don't know the answers to some of the stills in the previous group yet. My answer for 6 (Wings of Desire) was for the penultimate group of six.

    That's right, well done.

    Only 3 left.
Some clues, no 3. Is a drama made in the fifties where the two leads fell in love and got married in real life.
No. 7 is a horror film from the 70's remade in the oo's
No. 8 is an english film mainly set in one room.

Well there goes my guess for No. 3 of Harold and Maude!

I was thinking the man in 7 looks like Gregory Peck. Is it The Omen?

It's not 44 inch chest but was made the same year.
The film is pretty much in real time and mainly takes place in the one room.
