I'm guessing a bit here since I haven't seen the film, but based on its similarity to iconography from the game I'm going with Takashi Miike's adaptation of Ryu ga gotoku (aka Yakuza) for number two.

That's the one. As you're a fan of both the game and the director you should check it out. One of those oddities that Miike excels at.

Re: my Day of the Jackal guess. I wasn't entirely convinced. He does hire a garage to work on his car, and the guy in the photo has similar hair to Edward Fox, but that particular image didn't ring a bell. Still, worth a guess. The one of the guy who has flattened the car is very familiar to me but I just can't place it. Grr...

4 is David Tomlinson's car in The Love Bug.

He gave some advice as a favour to production designer Ken Adam. Some stories have him "coming in overnight to light the set secretly", but I think it was more just constructive help. The soundstage was so big, it was proving to be problematic.
