Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That turned out to be the joker in the pack more than Clockwork Jesus!

It took me ages to realise it was Sondra Locke too. For some reason, I thought it was a British actress.
Of course, it can be difficult to recognise Sondra Locke when she's not in a film with Clint Eastwood...

Indeed! I was surprised when I watched it recently for the first time and saw her appear in it....minus any magnum revolvers....or boxing orangutan :pac:

Well, you were on the right track when you said it looked like a young Mitchum.
It's quite a bit older than Thunder Road.

    Bingo! Well done.

    Just 2 left now.
#1 is a 1970s comedy and a future Oscar winner was one of the main stars (his back is facing us in the shot). It was also remade over 20 years later.

#6 is from the 1980s and was Oscar nominated for Best Foreign Language Film.

    Correct. Well done.

It was remade in 2003 with Michael Douglas & Albert Brooks reprising the Falk & Arkin roles....but was nowhere near as good as the original

    Some clues:
    1. A 1930's comedy. The title character (not pictured) is played by an actor who starred in many films, but his most acclaimed film was the only one he directed (in the 1950's).
    4. An 80's black comedy. Pictured is the main character watching his own play to terrible reaction from the crowd.
    5. An 80's film. Family are watching TV just before some uninvited visitors enter their apartment (through the ceiling!).
    7. Screenshot is from a montage at the start of this film. The long road with a lone character on the horizon is the key!
    8. Screenshot is in front of this seaside town hall. The name of the town (just out of shot above the door) would give it away.
    10. British crime caper from the 1950's. That's a spec of gold on his shoe!
