Total n00b question, but what is the most efficient way of finding a particular thread that I opened in a specific forum?

It happens quite often that I ask a question in a forum I don't frequent often, and when I go back to check on it I can't remember the title I gave it.
I've got two options basically, as far as I can see - check all threads started by me and scroll down or do an advanced serach in the specific forum for all posts by me and try find the one I started.

Is there some simple combination of the above (all threads started by me in forum) that I'm overlooking?

advanced search

find posts by username

select threads started by that username

select the forum you want to search from the (long) list directly beneath

should return a list of all threads started by you in the forum you selected.

That forum list is mighty unwieldy; it'd be nice if we could type in the forum name like in the beta skin.

More likely easier to find a post if you started the thread somewhere.
