Meteor spamming me

I have been getting loads of spam texts from Meteor recently, advertising their services. All texts have "To unsub freetext STOP to 50003." When you text STOP they reply with an acceptance message.

I have done this on numerous occasions and they keep spamming me.

    What can I do?

Call them and make sure it is cancelled.

Write them a letter or email

You shouldn't have to, but calling them and mentioning the data protection act has the best chance of getting them to stop. You may be on multiple marketing lists. Failing that, file a complaint with the data protection commissioner:

Then why make the huge issue out of this if you don't want to get it sorted? Email them or write them a letter, I think they have a message board, maybe post on there.

I don't ever register on any networks website. So calling them is not an option. I value my privacy too much.

edit: I just registered on their forum. Lets see what happens.

Wear a tinfoil hat when you call. You'll be grand then.

    LOL!

They won't do anything unless I register.

Why are networks fasinated with knowing who you are?

Why are people so worried about telling people who they are? What have you got to hide?

    People do have their privacy.

OP, simply pick a random name from the phonebook and register those details and then ring them. Problem solved.

You can simply say you don't wish to register your details and give other info like your original pin, last 3 calls, last top up etc
