Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

New questions about scanning old photos

    Hey guys,

I'm homebound for the next few months, and while I'm here I'd like to start scanning all the old family photos and negatives.

I've done a search on this (and it seems to be a popular theme!), but I have some questions that haven't been answered just yet.

1)Scanning negatives is big business and ordinary scanners just won't cut it. Are there any companies or shops you'd recommend which do batch scanning of negatives and deliver good results (ie better than I'd achieve at home)?

2)I'm gonna do this once and do it right. I'm looking at the Epson V500/V600 (can't tell the difference between them to be honest); would either of these be good enough for scanning the prints?

3)Are there any companies which scan prints en masse and deliver good results?

    Cheers.
