Quick LOS question

    I'm sure most people who have studied this can recall the part of the book in which Michael goes on about the "lies told to poor protestants & catholics" etc.

    What exactly should I call this? Only word I can think of is a speech but that's hardly right :o

    Basically instead of learning off that whole... eh, 'speech', I'm going to quote the first line and say how he appears to be expressing the authorial viewpoint.

    Would it be a soliloquy?
