Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

Had a handsfree kit installed in 2007 Mazda 3 but guy said he couldn't find any input on audio system for it to be wired through the radio! I find that a bit strange considering I have had handsfree in many cars pre 2007 and all went through radio.

Anybody have a Mazda 3 and phone kit wired through it?

    Thanks in advance!

Might be handy to include the Make/Model of the radio in the car. You can usually source thw wiring diagram for the radio off the web to ensure if the installer is telling the truth of not.

The audio input from the car kit isnt wired into the radio its wired to the loom usually using a wiring harness to the speakers. The only feed that the radio receives is the mute wire which auto mutes the feed from the radio (either c.d., radio, aux source) so that you can hear the audio from the car kit.

Most cars have this mute feed input in their radios even the older ones. I wrote a thread a while back about installing a CK300 kit (with pics) into my car. Its a 2003 and its OEM radio even has this functionality.
