Its not atlantic or the swiss cottage. Its the car company that also rents campers beside little venice. Lots of fire trucks. Seems to be dying down now.

    But now you must die.......

I doubt anyone was in it, the place was locked up and pitch black also no ambulances. Also iirc the last time i was in there they had a big supply of diesel/petrol so that couldve been the explosion.

I say there will be a big fire in Jap cars too.

The fire lads seemed to have brought it under control pretty quick, fair play to them !

How come the fire brigade from Tara Street tackled the blaze? Is there not a station nearer?

Yeah, the Raheny or Phibsborough fire brigades would have been closer :pac:

The media made a typo I'd say, it wouldn't have been 6 units from tara street, most likely one of the turntable ladder engines that are stationed there attended

Finglas would have been close too...

It is just the usual uninformed journalism. There is no such thing as "Tara Street fire Brigade"

All attending units are part of Dublin Fire Brigade. Within Dublin Fire Brigade units are stationed in various named stations i.e Finglas Fire Station, Swords Fire Station, North Strand Fire station, Tara Street Fire Station. They are not stand alone Fire Brigades.

With a six or an eight pump fire there would have been units from most stations on the northside and from Tara ST.

Rumour has it that it was the dormant Santry Volcano that caused the plum of smoke that sent the forums hopping mad wondering what building were on fire.
