    :eek:I'm starting this new thread as the union have managed to silence the the people who are opposed to them again by closing the original thread. This is not democracy. Please reply and voice you support for this forum to remain open

    Iv been caught out! Damit! I really thought my deal with the union for silencing would go unnoticed... :/

    Anyway folks, the topic was closed and I fully support its closure. It offered no further purpose and people were getting far to personal. I fail to see any reason why it should be open for further discussion at the moment, but as Aquos said, if we believe it has a new purpose then we will re-open it.

    I have no connection with Teva or any union (well, apart from knowing a few people in Student Unions around Ireland. Does that count?) nor do I really care what they think of whether the topic is locked or kept open. We have a Conspiracy Theory forum for those who have a conspiracy regarding this.

    May this be the last damn topic on Teva unless the original is re-opened. Last warning.

    Boards.i has now become a wing of SIPTU and has decided to block all discuscusion on the Teva dispute.

    Let's move to a decent forum

    I hear SIPTU are launching their own forum shortly. Try there?

    :)

    Is there a reason that Mod's are closing, locking threads about Teva, I thought that boards.ie was somewhere that people could post anything they wanted to talk about, since when does it become the job of mods to ban conversation about fair topics!?

    I don't see any on these reasons not to be able to talk about the unfortunate problems at Teva!

    'Taken from the Rules and Regs'

    Forbidden topics of discussion

    We unfortunately do sometimes find ourselves with a problem regarding some issues and no amount of warnings or requests to keep things civil in relation to certain issues have worked, so we simply don’t allow discussion or posting pictures of these things. The list below is by no means set in stone, we can add things to this as time goes by, so it may be no harm to check up on it every few months to see if it’s changed.

    * Pictures or links to pictures of Porn
    * Pictures or links to pictures showing nipples and/or genitalia
    * Child abuse/under age/jailbait/Lolita stuff
    * How to do illegal things (this ranges from software piracy, to swindling the Revenue Commissioners)
    * Pictures or links to pictures of self harming
    * Pro anorexia pictures and websites
    * Trepanning websites
    * Bestiality
    * Ordering medications online.

    Did you bother to read the last one? http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055927802

    I never realised we can't start a thread about bestiality, knowing that I can't makes me want too.

    I really hope ya didn't get up espically to start this thread OP.

    I thought you said you were joining a different site?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6 waterfordcity

    I'm not sure what your talking about, people are just discussing whats hoing on at teva, I don't see any personal attacks on anyone, I thought that boards.ie was a place where people could come and discuss issues.......obviously I was mistaken!

    Its not 4am where I'm typing this message ;)

    You were mistaken,

    Do you want to discuss some bestiality before they close your thread again?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6 waterfordcity

    Well I'm still trying to figure out which came first, the chicken or the egg, can thinking about the egg coming out of the chicken be considered bestiality?

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,081 ✭✭✭ziedth

    Given the right angle when filming I would say so.

    Anyway, Sully & Co are gonna be mad with you when they wake up.

    I wish you well

    Lol I'm not too worried, just voicing my concerns about being able to talk about stuff which is fair to do, If he wants to ban me so be it, I haven't said anything inappropriate just voicing my opinion have a good one!!

    ive seen people banned for less , depends what side of the bed he get out of i suppose !!

    In before lock.....

    Arguing a mods decision in the forum thats being modded almost certainly will result in a ban, general boards.ie rules tbh

    OMG! Lock it up!!!!! PLEASE.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,081 ✭✭✭ziedth

    See If I was mod this would have been locked at 5am! :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 424 ✭✭Yes Boss

    It would be great if one of the Mods could clarify the position as outlined by the OP. Current topics are the most relevant, however i understand that people should refrain from personal insult!!

    There is another thread running at the moment about the monotony of the threads that continually appear. The one on Teva has substance and should be allowed once participants don't insult anyone else!!

    Does that mean we're free to talk about it over there, and post a link on a thread here saying something along the lines of "Waterford based Conspiracy Theory discussion over here....."?

    Oh hello. :)

    I see no reason to comment further, as what I needed to say on the matter has been said.

    Grow up and stop throwing your toys out of your pram because your not getting your way. The discussion ended not just because people were throwing insults but because it was starting to get into legal issues such as questioning the legality of the vote and behaviour of the union etc. during the vote.

    It serves no further purpose and the more times people act like this, the more determinant it makes us not to even consider re-opening the topic in future. Your hardly showing teva employees in the best light the way people are acting here.

    (Iv merged the latest rambles about teva threads being closed together btw)

    Topic Closed
