Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Problem with Toshiba Satellite A350 Laptop

I have a fairly new Toshiba Satellite laptop - less than 12 months.

I generally only shut it down fully about once a week... at other time I simply close the lid and reopen it when I need it agan.

However, recently the laptop is failing to restart at first time of asking, even when I do a proper shutdown.

I've also got a "blue screen" on a couple of occasions. On other occasions I got that fragmented screen effect (like coloured blinds )

I hope I've explained the problem?

I've done a system restore to about a month ago but the problem persists.

I also run regular virus checks.

    Any ideas?? Thanks.

No... the blue screen was a blank screen, sky blue in colour. When I looked at the error message it named the error "Blue Screen".

I should say that once I restart the laptop, it works away fine.

    Thanks

Thanks Simoniz but I think I've just gone out of my depth....

The only thing I open in my laptop is the lid!!! :)

But, thinking about it, the problem does suggest some kind of loose connection.
