The grass is always greener on the other side...until you live there.

Tesco brought in loads of the stuff they sell in the UK, but no-one wanted it, so it was delisted and back to the brands and goods we buy.

The UK is a very diverse market with many ethnic and religious backgrunds, hence the stores there will have a much larger range of products. Whilst many here say they would love to have all the products available in the uk, the problem is when it comes to parting with cash for them, it just doesn't happen.

The max range of products is in a Tesco Extra - Portlaoise & Naas - otherwise be happy that there's only 4.5m people in this country and plenty of green fields. - Or do you want 25m people and a few extra goods in a supermarket?

lidl having events and cheap stuff in loughboy from thursday. Cant think why. Weird placement for aldi but handy having the two together. Aldi have done a lovely job with the outside of that shop. Very nicely landscaped.

At least there a bit of planning went into the Aldi store, the stone on the building and landscaping and even the entrance with the roundabout helps people entering where as Lidl even after there renovation still just looks like a plastic/metal building with a roof. How difficult would it of been for the planners to alter the look of the Lidl building to make it more aesthetic looking for the surroundings.
