Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wheels: how far out of true before servicing?

After a very rough ride in Wickow the rim on my back wheel has a very slight side-to-side wobble.

How far out of alignment horizontally and/or vertically should I tolerate before the wheels are serviced?

I do minor truing tasks every few months at home myself. If I see a wheel with more than a mm or so of wobble, I true it at home. It's a quick job if the wobble is minor, so I reckon it's better to do it then than let it get worse and become a bigger job.

Then again, maybe that's a bit excessive.

How difficult is it to true a wheel yourself? Is it worth giving a try or could you end up making a right mess of it?

If you're correcting a minor deviation, it's really easy. You just have to take it very, very slowly.

There was a post about it a while ago. I'll see whether I can find it.
