    Are you in town baraca? I'm on whiterock hill here , thought it was passing , still seeing lightning every few mins but bangs not as loud.

    Haven't heard any rumbles since, no flashes.

    Wind/rain is picking up again though.

    You could get a strike via an aerial lead or the dish.
    surge protectors no use on that and of course the phone line.
    I had a modem explode on me here once.
    right,thats my last post for now.

    I dinny think theres a need in buying them as we only get storms like once a year.

    New strikes showing for Kilkenny, Wexford, South Carlow area.

    I'm not lying the bbc shows that front down there joing up with the one here and another one somewhere else, its dry as hell here again the rain drys up so bloody quick, thats three downpours in the space of six hours which have already dried up!

    I never said you were! You are right, the showery band to the west will more than likely mearge into the main frontal zone later on over the north.

    Negative is expecting lightning and getting none........positive is expecting lightning and getting some! :) Couldn't resist that.

    What charge they are. Negative is much more common than positive lightning.

    That cell is still active (just about) just to the South of Dublin. Posters in the South Dublin area may see some lightning very soon - i.e in the next 15 or 20 mins.
