The rain here is just unreal, water just pouring out of the gutters as it's too heavy for them to cope.

    Great fireworks also!

    Yep,

Very heavy rain, thunder and some sheet lightning.
Stopped now though, for the moment....

Iam just after hearing a rumble, might be more on the way.
    Wind has gone aswel, weird?

Definitely more on the way, second cell to the SW looks bit bigger than what has passed into the bay from the arlier one....the anvil part of it is overhead now. Mightn't hit here but somewhere between here and carrickmacross is going to get a deluge.

I'm from Eglinton myself and very heavy rain and thunder. Couldn't see any lighting, hope there is more on the way!

This time last year I took these photos.. would love to see something like this again.

Just had a very heavy but short-lived shower here in Portlaoise. It's moved off now but we've just had a couple of loud claps of thunder following it. The sky looks very dark off to the north and east, over towards, say, the Stradbally direction so I'd say they're getting it much worse over that way and towards the Kildare, Athy and possibly the Carlow area.

That huge linear feature is approaching me from the west now, lots of thunder from it, and I've seen a few flashes. A light plane has just taken off from Weston now and is flying straight through it.....idiot! I have the camera running, hopefully I'll catch some CGs

That 2nd cell moved in a while ago...very promising looking grey/green cloudbase, but all it did was dump a lot of rain; no thunder. Still raining now, very large droplets too.

I can smell burning and hear helicopters. Lots of thunder.

    Proper cloudburst.

Was in Tesco and the noise of it hitting the roof was really loud. It put down a lot of water and some decent lightning.

That's her alright. Activity seems to have diminished now as it heads off over the city, haven't seen or heard anything in the last 15 mins. Nice rainbow now though!
