Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sky offers

Sky is now available in my apartment development, and their offers seem attractive in terms of free box with HD etc. However, it's summer, shows are off air, and hopefully I'll be less in need of TV for the coming months and would prefer to look at signing up in autumn. So I'm just wondering do these offers tend to roll on, or are they being particularly generous to try and get subs ahead of the World Cup? I appreciate nobody has a crystal ball, but some insight would help. Thanks.

Considering a Sky sub is not needed to watch the world cup in HD dont order for that alone.

No, not an issue for me. But you can't have your own dish in the development, so the only way to get satellite is via this service (and I'm not sure if, a year down the line, you cancel the Sky sub, you could continue with Freesat channels like someone with their own dish can do).

Are the offers different from those quoted on skyireland.ie? Even without a HD sub new customers can get a HD box installed for just €30.

Offers tend to last a few months, although near dates are generally quoted to give a sense of urgency. If anything I would expect prices to remain steady or rise by Autumn time as demand after summer increases.

I think the current offer wont last after 24rd of June, but sky have extended offers before, but I would expect the price will go up...Im amazed at the price of €30 for a hd box....amazing piece of kit at an amazing price..
