Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi guys

My dell laptop's hard drive got corrupted and I had to re-format and re-install windows(xp)

Its working fine again but there's no drivers for anything installed. So can't use internet, sound etc. The mouse and keyboard still work.

I don't have the original discs I got (the laptops around 4/5years old)

Would dell re-issue the discs I need? Or can stuff be got online(I have another computer I can use to get)

Is there any way of checking my laptop to find out the details of the hardware? Like the sound card or the wireless card etc

    thanks

    Use this link http://support.euro.dell.com
    Goto Drivers and Download
Enter your Service Tag (This will be located at the bottom of the laptop)

you will now see all the driver for your laptop.
Download them and copy them to a USB stick and install on the Dell laptop.

Find the service tag(if its still stuck to the laptop).
    Go to dell.ie
    Enter tag.
    Download drivers.
Put on USB etc and move to new install.
    Install them.

Right click my computer and hit manage, device manager. All the hardware is listed there so you can pick the specific drivers you need. There are often 3 or four options within each tag.
