If I tell you I will have to kill you.

The contents of The Chicken Hut Gravy has spawned more conspiracy theories in Limerick than JFK, Elvis and 9/11 combined.

Its the crackle out of the chicken fryer, left overnight and then mixed with water, flour and pepper, boiled in a bowl to a daycent texture.

OP, if you find out you probably will not want to eat it ever again. Some things are best left unexplained. :)

Liquefied chicken bits from what I heard

Corn starch, skimmings from the fryers, seasoning.
IMO I wouldnt recommend eating there in any way shape or form.

Judging by the average intelligence of the average customer in there its certainly not the smart choice.

Interesting. Care to share with us the formulas you used to determine the average intelligence of the average customer?

That's two "averages", so I won't take it as an insult.

Said gravy provided one of the funniest headlines in the Limerick Chronicle for years a few weeks back:

GRAVY FROM CHICKEN HUT BLOCKING CITY SEWERS

    It's still delicious though.

It is delicious. The odd visit there cant harm anyone. Just dont make it a nightly thing while wearing a tracksuit at the same time.

I think the KFC gravy is much better, so is the gravy from The Snack Shack.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,015 ✭✭✭✭Mc Love

There is one in Moyross, one by the Limerick Jail and one out by Raheen.
