Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Folks,

Anyone got one of these? question i have is, does the HD go asleep after 5 -10mins of not being used or will it keep spinning, just i have another PATA/SATA to USB converter and the drive just keeps spinning even after 15 - 20 mins of not even being connected.

    Thanks
    Paul

Because it's through a usb interface it will not power down during inactive periods. You would want something like a NAS box with this feature enabled or through Esata, although I'm not sure if the latter does work.

Had one, it broke, but my memory was that it did stop. That said 2.5s are generally quite quiet so it may not have.
