How do we know that this will not happen here when Ireland gets its "new state of the art" microchipped biometric licence / ID card?



Most modern HD surveillance CCTV systems can be adapted to run facial recognition software.

Apparently this has all been carried out by stealth unknown to much of the public.

It is almost time to get the hoodie out.

You can be damn sure any country that is introducing a "smart card" photo ID is doing the same.

There's no need for a smart card to do this.

Governements have had access to passport/ drivers licence photos for donkeys years.

The only thing preventing it is computer processing power/lack of funds.

I don't see any connection here with smart cards.
