As many of you know, Boards.ie shares offices with Daft.com, and this year, Daft.com are sponsoring a team in the Round Ireland Yacht Race.

    Round%20Ireland_%20Mark%20Pollock_%20Mick%20Liddy%282%29.JPG

It's called Team Daft and the team comprises of Mark Pollock and Mick Liddy among others. We caught up with Mark yesterday to find out more:

There's more on the Team Daft blog, on Facebook, on YouTube and on Twitter.

However, we'd like to invite 5 Boards.ie members to bring a friend to celebrate the us on Thursday, June 10th on the MV Cill Airne ("Dublin's Floating Restaurant and Bar on the Liffey") from 5.30pm to late.

There's live music from the Swing Kings, food and drinks and tours of the Team Daft yacht. There's also the chance to win a sailing trip on the Team Daft racing boat.

To be in with a chance, just leave a question we could ask Mark or Mick in a public interview on Thursday. It might be their fears before the race, the challenges they'll face, looking for more information on their set-up or more.

The best five questions will earn the questioner and a friend an invite on Thursday night. You must be over 18 to take the prize and no alternative prize is offered. We'll pick the winners on Wednesday 9 June. Your comment won't appear immediately when it's posted.

What would your advice be to young people who have no experience of sailing but would like to somehow get involved in the sport?

Cork Week is still in need of a headline sponsor. Would Daft consider continuing their theme and sponsoring this as well? I can see the international news headlines now "Daft Cork Week..."

How do you decide a shift pattern for two people. Are there certain areas on the course or certain wind conditions that will allow the off-watch person to catch up on sleep? Also, if the off-watch person is needed, say for rough conditions, does the rota change or do they then have to do their scheduled watch?
