spots into timber ceiling

Just this week my parents got out hall ceiling done with timber sheeting , tounged and grooved type , now im asked to put in a couple of spotlights to it , wont they burn the area of timber around the light from the heat on the fitting ??

use led/cfl

and fire rated spots if you have a fire barrier(slab above timber sheeting)
