    Hi folks,

This might be a stupid question but I have to ask!!

Is it normal for the oil burner to turn its self on for a few seconds and then off again?

dont know what make it is or anything(obviously I know nothing about them) its about 4 years old.

    thanks

    Yes.
All boilers do this, when the water reaches required temperature the burner automatically cuts out and restarts when the temp falls. no need to worry, it means your stat is working ok.
