Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has anyone else noticed that 90% of the time if you pass Adamstown on a train, there is a car on fire in a field? And a few already burned out ones?

People must be very very bored.

There are a few places where cars regularly get dumped and burnt out. Usually stolen ones involved in a crime of some sort. The carpark at the gate up to the Tv mast on Kippure is another spot, anytime you go by there there are burnt out cars or evidence of ones recently removed.

There's no doubt that they're stolen anyway! The Adamstown thing appears to be me to be bored young people.

I bet it doesn't even compare to Broombridge station in the early 00s. :D

Let's see, scumbags steal and burn cars because they're "bored" ...

Gee ... if only they had a table tennis club :(

Sean I was just thinking the same thing.

The term "bored" is a tad naieve. The area in question has always been littered with burned out cars. But I guess the increased patronage on the rail line has provided ample opportunity to view them.

Its not boredom, its the minority culture of the area and that has being developing since 1980.

the government's answer will be to pay contractors over the odds to build the ugliest screening fence possible.
