    Hi folks,

I'm planning on purchasing a home in Wicklow in January, but I'm not familiar with the area. My ideal choice would be Enniskerry but I am open for suggestions.

I'm looking for a home close to a nice village, good neighbours, great scenery, this fits the description of every village and town in wicklow.

I know that most areas have a bad element such as boy racers, vandalism, graffiti etc some more then others. These are the areas I would like to stir clear off.

    All recommendations and advice appreciated.

Enniskerry is a beautiful village, would be my first choice in wicklow.Close to dublin but right beside wicklow mountains. Which are gorgeous I LOVE THE PLACE.
Has its problems like every where but nothing that would put me off.

Any other suggestions besides Enniskerry, as this would have been my first choice. Looking for advice on other areas in Wicklow.

    Thanks

Do you want to be near to a town? Or Dublin? Or any other facilities?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

I would probably reccomend Aughrim, Avoca, Eniskerry or Delgany

    Laragh or Dunlavin
I am originally from Dunlavin and I wouldnt suggest it ever!
Depends on which side you would want to live on.. (west!!)
Why is valleymount not on the list, and ballyknockan is??

    Hi Wicklowstar,

The poll would only allow me to add 25 choices.

My parents live in the area outside Newcastle and Kilcoole. Lovely place to live. Very close to Greystones and by extenstion easy to Bray and into Dublin.

Why live very close To Greystones when you can actually live in there? :D

Lol this poll makes me proud to live in Greystones.

Why? Because half the people polled say it's a good place to live? But the other 50% say to live elsewhere ;)
