Don't book anything until you hear confirmation of when the Home/Away leg will taske place. It could change in the next hour or so.

Madeira is where the club are based... Will probably have to get a flight to Lisbon and then on to the island.

    9000 Capacity Stadium.

    From the website:

    Google translator says

The Marine will face Sporting Fingal, Ireland, game counting for the 3rd round of the Europa League. In the game's first-hand the Maritime act provided visited. The draw left satisfied Carlos Pereira, 'since it avoided a very long travel

Iv been a long time leeds fan and i remember leeds playing them in the Uefa cup a good few years back. They will be no pushovers and will obviously be strong favourites to win. But this is football and stranger things have happened.

A bit of info on Maritimo.
    • Part owned by the local authority
    • Building a new stadium
    • Establishing a soccer academy
    ...sound familiar? Kindred spirits methinks.

Indeed Maritimo will play in Estadio da Madeira, the stadium of the big Rival of Maritimo, CD Nacional.

The reason to play there is cause the Maritimo Stadium is in construction.

That video is old, that was the first project of the new stadium, would be in Funchal city also but in another zone of the city.

Maritimo will stay with the old stadium, and reconstruct that stadium for a modern one, before the stadium was property of Madeira Government, now belongs to Maritimo.

Here i provide the project of the new stadium, is already on construction, when I have pictures of it I can post here .

stadium will be to 10 000

The stadium where Fingal will play is this one, property of CD Nacional

Some of Maritimo best results (Last Season)

    C.S.Maritimo - F.C. Porto 1-0

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kh2Xq2J1Qjo&feature=related

    C.S.Maritimo - Sporting Lisbon 3-2

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xXoRZpoivI

    Sporting Lisbon - C.S.Maritimo 1 -1

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPV0ape9EYA

    Benfica - C.S.Maritimo 1 -1

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Twgaq9iGZ_Y

    Guimaraes - CS.Maritimo 1-2

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAIdv09dVSQ

This last game for me was the best, and this cause was the last game of the season and we playing away with a direct opponent to Europa League qualification, for Guimaraes was just need, for us was need to win and we did it.

    Some of the best players

Kleber - Striker 20 years old

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_eUSg15j0w

Been in Maritimo on loan from Atletico Mineiro from Brazil.
First started to play in Maritimo reserves team (Maritimo B), plays in IIB Division (third division), he showed great skills, had chance on first team and in 20 appearences scored 8 goals.

F.C.Porto bought him this month, but since he still had one more year of loan with Maritimo, or Porto will leave him on loan this year in Maritimo, or have to offer something as compensation.

Djalma - Left Winger 23 years old

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsP0ldz_nSk

Internacional player for Angola. Still doubts if will stay in Maritimo since is a player with some clubs interested, inside and outside Portugal.

Baba Diawara - Striker 22 years old

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6ftjusZgng

As Djalma have lots of clubs interested on him, Coruna and Sevilla from Spain offered 3 Million euros for him, but the clun just want to let him go for 5 Millions so, stills to know if he stays or not.

What you make me post, Stadium of Nacional (hate them) hehe.
But since we will play there against Fingal, here it is, is in this stadium where Sporting Fingal will play in Madeira.

Estádio da Madeira, formerly named Estadio Eng. Rui Alves and informally known as Estádio da Choupana is a football stadium in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal. It is currently used mostly for the home matches of C.D. Nacional, one of two Liga Sagres teams located in Funchal (The other being fierce rivals C.S. Marítimo).
The stadium is currently able to hold 5,132 people and was built as a one-stand 2,500 seat stadium in 2000, when Nacional moved in. Previously they played their home games at the local municipal stadium, the Estádio dos Barreiros. The stadium is located within the Cidade Desportiva do C.D. Nacional (C.D Nacional Sport City), which also includes training pitches and the currently under construction Cristiano Ronaldo Academy Campus, named after the club's most famous player. The Sport City is located in the north of Funchal, high in the mountains in the Choupana district.
In January 2007, after a period of construction costing €20million, the stadium was expanded to 5,132 by the opening of another stand. The stadium currently has only two all-seated stands which run the entire length of the pitch. The two ends of the field are occupied by tall fencing. On 1 June 2007 the stadium was renamed to Estádio da Madeira after the club reached an agreement with the local government to promote the region. The name also symbolises the fact that the stadium is the most modern sports venue on the island of Madeira, though not the biggest. That position is held by the municipal stadium, the Estádio dos Barreiros, home to Nacional's rivals Marítimo.

I Think one of the obstacles Fingal will have in this game is even the stadium, I mean, is a stadium in Mountains, so have to play in an altitude, about 610 metres altitude
