Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was changing the strings on my Parker Fly when I realised that for a 7 year old guitar which is played most days the frets still look BRAND NEW.

Just thought I'd share that with you ;)

    Not in my opinion.
(TBH that guitar was made with those frets and of course I've never heard it with any other frets).
If I ever need to refret a guitar I will definitely be getting it done with stainless. Even if it did make a guitar sound brighter (which in general is not a bad thing IMHO) the lack of wear more than makes up for it.
On the guit pictured above I have never even once polished the frets.
    They just dont wear.

    They look like new!

I was playing a 50 year old Hofner yesterday (crazy chunky neck), some of the frets had been replaced, those that hadn't were nearly gone!

Very slick and easy to bend notes on.
