I'm just going to bring a pile of pens and a highlighter on the first day because it's only english paper one and see what everyone else is doing :pac: If they bring in their pencil cases then i will the next day.

Maybe it's in that hilarious book of rules that was sent to all candidates in the post. It's quite a good read if you need a laugh. Something near the end like 'candidates may not in any circumstances place cash/cheque inside their exam booklet in doing so their exams will be canceled' :pac: Not sure of the wording but somewhere along those lines.

Wait, what book?? I never got a book?? omg what if they have forgotten me and forgotten that I'm doing my exams too?

And yes you're allowed pencil cases(i can't understand how, people could have clues written on it, seeing as they are so strict about everything else you'd think they'd be strict about pencil cases too)

    I didn't get a book either. I'm sure you'll be fine.

Thank GOD, I have having to carry a pile of pens and a rubber and a sharpener etc without something to put them in! Sooo impractical :P

If you were going to write out something small enough to hide in your pencil case I'm pretty sure you could memorise it anyway like. And the consequences of cheating in the LC are bad enough, why would you bother!

In my school last year no-one brought a pencil case in... no-one really wanted to ! You really don't have THAT many pens etc to bring in, and when they are layed out on the table they are easier to get at (obv) PLus.....pencil cases make noise. Think of rummaging through it finding a pen which is at the bottom of it. That noise would piss me off in an exam!
Thats why this year im carrying my stuff in.... :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 283 ✭✭Curlyhatescurls

heehee 'quiet food suggestions', hmmmm, chocolate, out of its wrapper, wrapped in clingfilm(clingfilm doesn't make noise when you open it) God, it's pretty hard to think of any food that you can eat quietly, I'm a bit shlurpy with the chocolate myself....

Think this is the one your on about:
75: A candidate may be expelled from the examination hall if his/her behaviour is such as to jeopardise the successful conduct of the examination. Submission of material of a pornographic nature or any other offensive material or the inclusion of any cash/cheque in the script may result in the eamination in all subjects being disallowed.

    ...There goes my plan :o

Haha food! Imagine sitting down and twenty minutes into the exam you throw out all the sweets in pockets onto the table: a stack of freddo bars, lollipops, kinder beunos and every sort of thing

Haha I had a kinder bueno at the end of the french mock... the amount of wrapping on them is just stupid! But it was funny 'cause I was driving the dude next to me insane

Ooh, could I bring a banana? That's super nutritious and brilliant for the brain and they taste nice and we have a whole load of them in the fruit bowl, are they quiet enough?......should I have it already opened and wrapped in cling film?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 365 ✭✭dee o gee

I presume they'd be ok with you taking tablets during an exam? I might have to bring in a few panadol or disprin just in case I get a headache, and don't fancy getting kicked out and drug searched during an exam. :D

Too smelly! I'd get up and leave if I had to breathe in banana fumes for a whole exam :pac:

I'll be furiously chewing my way through packs of wrigley's extra in the exams I'd say...

Would you be allowed to bring in a red bull? For history, a can of red bull is must.
