    Is out of control today on this exchange/server. I'm in Ennis. Internet practically unusable. Tooke about 2 mins for this page to eventually load.

    The fact that you cant use the broadband connection doesnt matter, the main thing is that your phone line is fine, and so Eircoms stance is that its an acceptable service.

    And today we have ;

    And the past few weeks looks like this ;

    Graphs above depict percentage of packet loss measured from 10 pings to www.eircom.net taken every 10 minutes.

    In my opinion packet loss means the network is faulty and does not provide a broadband connection. Contention I can accept IF the network design is capable of the number of clients using it. This obviously is not the case.

    I used DSL from Eircom for a few reasons, the main one WAS reliability, second was availability. For what it costs, CAB should be investigating this.

    I dont know what happened in Eircom last Xmass, but its as if the person that knew how it worked left with all the knowledge.
