Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You can use your medical card for up to 3 months if you are living temporarily outside your Local Health Office area. In this case, you can attend any GP in the area participating in the medical card scheme. If you are going to be away longer than 3 months, you should apply to the Local Health Office of that area, for a medical card. If you move to a different part of your own Local Health Office area, you can apply to change your doctor.

Yes, the local HSE office will give you an application to change your GP and you will just have to suss out the other doctors in the area and see who will take you. You may have to be a bit thick skinned because often GPs only want to have a certain amount of medical card holders on their books and may refuse. It may be best to get a couple of forms from the HSE office as it may be necessary to approach a few GPs before you find one to accept you.
