ok im about to study paper one and do you really need to know all the writing of argument and all that in detail? i didnt even know about it for my pre and i did fine so would i reeeeally need to do it?? thanks :D

Well you need to know how to recognise it in the texts for the 'what aspects of the writer's style makes this piece informative/persuasive etc' questions.

You don't have to write an argumentative composition so if you're used to short stories or personal essays do those.
