Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Surfers in Strandhill Co. Galway. I had a lot of fun with my 10-20mm that day.. Its the reflection and texture of the wet sand that i really like in this!

Best viewed on black i think...

Great great shot - but isn't Strandhill in Sligo?

Eh yeah - Sligo/Galway... i get mixed up sometimes.

I agree 100% about straightening the horizon but its just a trick i can't master in photoshop unfortunately.... So i end up with some images which have potential but are completely unusable!

The best straightener tool I know is on Picasa-as simple as ABC- so I often import photos from Photoshop into Picasa - just to straighten them:):)

Fixed it now i think.. Turns our Photoshop one is simple when you know how (Just like everything in life)

Last night the ISS flew over Irish airspace again (apparently it also paired with some Russian device while it was up there?). Mucho kudos to Shane Murphy, who made me get of the sofa and told me all the details, I got a shot of it! So thanks Shane for showing me the settings and providing the correct times. Also thanks to DarrenG, who joined me in the vast wilderness of Clonalvy, Co. Meath for assisting with "what button on a tripod makes this shift??" and setting up the camera! To be honest - I am really impressed with the result and am very chuffed that I actually got the shot and a not too shabby attempt at it!

This place only opens for two months a year so if you are in the south-east during July or August
