Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

By total chance caught this guy on his way to work at my lunchtime today - it's a real pity he did not walk a few feet closer to Phil:rolleyes:

The last one is him working - he does a Grafton St. statue imitation act.

I haven't posted any images here before, so I thought I'd give it a whirl. This is Lettergesh Beach in Connemara from my mini-holiday last week.

I was only on that beach a week ago.... must head into dublin and get the roll developed :pac:

That is a top class B&W photo - what filter did you use(if any)?

Yeah, it's a great spot. The weird thing is the whole beach disappears at high tide. All the way back to the little hill.

    Thanks!

I used a polarizer. I also use the B&W mix sliders in Lightroom for my conversions. So, when I have a sky with a lot of blue, I can dial up or down the luminance of various colours. It gives an effect much like a red filter with B&W film. I also used the green and yellow sliders to bring out the grass on the hills a little bit to give them some definition.

I had guessed is was good use of filters ok - you seem to have a great lightroom set-up.

Please keep posting more - and keep an eye on the assignments - that would have come close in the B&W one:)

I got caught out on that.... was sitting on the little headland and the tide was on its way in. I was spent too much time taking photos/staring at the sea and had to wade through 2 foot of water to get beck to dry land :D

Did you manage to get to omey island whilst in connemara? The whole strand there disappears at high tide :)

Not on this trip, but I did make it there on another trip in March.

This was taken a little right of where the cars cross. It was heading towards high tide, so I didn't go across. Not the best image, but...

I would say our good friend HomerSimpson must be upset over the tragedy in Donegal- hopefully no close family or friends were involved.
