Messing around with a makeshift pinhole lens on a Canon 400D body. Got pissed off with the lack of clarity and added another hole for a more kaleidoscopic effect:

how did you make the pinhole?

I covered where the lens normally screws on with tin foil and used a pin to make a hole in the centre. I tried it with paper before but it let too much light in and everything was completely overexposed. Tin foil is completely opaque and easy to pierce with a pin.

a pin is probably too big - i found the best thing to use was a bristle from a barbeque wire brush; they're much thinner, but still stiff enough to pierce tin foil.
