Does anyone know when Glee's officially starting on tv3? I'm hoping on the 22nd since they were the day after for the last half of the 1st series!

I'm assuming its back on TV3 on the 22nd of Sept (as it was with the first season and they have been promoting it loads) or else 3e will be showing it first on 24th of Sept and it will start on TV3 the 29th of Sept - I hope that made sense and its the first option ;)

Edited - Its on the new RTE Guide for next Wednesday

Gwyneth Paltrow is in negotiations to guest-star on Glee, E! Online reports.
The 37-year-old Oscar winner would play a substitute teacher who fills in to head the glee club when Will (Matthew Morrison) falls ill. Naturally, the kids take a liking to her, which prompts Mr. Schu to fall for her too.
The two-episode arc, which would air in November, was written specifically for Paltrow by friend (and Glee co-creator) Ryan Murphy, according to the site. Murphy is set to direct the first episode, scheduled to begin shooting in two weeks.
The wife of Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin, Paltrow has shown off her vocal chops in the 2000 film Duets. She will play a famous country singer battling addiction in the upcoming feature Country Strong, which opens this December.

Glee will reportedly begin to focus on the bullying of Kurt in more detail.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the episode scheduled to air on November 23 will see one of the glee club members defending Kurt (Chris Colfer).

The character who stands up for Kurt will allegedly end up getting beaten up.

Meanwhile, a source suggested that Will (Matthew Morrison) will also intervene when he sees Kurt being bullied.

"Mr. Schue gets involved when he sees something done to Kurt and realises he must take action," the insider explained. "The episode is really about the repercussions for others... how people react to bullying when they are not the ones getting bullied."

Glee continues on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Fox.

    http://insidetv.ew.com/2010/11/17/glee-exclusive-thriller-superbowl/

Gleeks, you probably thought Gwyneth Paltrow doing Cee-Lo was big news. Well, you’re gonna get down on your knees and thank Grilled Cheesus for this latest bit of news I’ve got: A Glee source confirms to EW exclusively that Glee will be tackling Michael Jackson’s iconic “Thriller” for their post-Super Bowl episode…but with a twist. The Jackson classic will be performed as a mash-up with another song, yet to be chosen. But the supersized episode, which our source says will be the most expensive in Glee history and likely one of televsion’s priciest episodes ever, will also feature covers of tunes by Black Eyed Peas, Lady Antebellum, and Katy Perry. Whew. I’m already worn out, and yet there’s more…
Although “Thriller” is featured in the episode, it will not be a Michael Jackson tribute episode. Nor will it be a tribute to Bruce Springsteen, as rumors have suggested. In fact, our source says that the only pop star truly considered for the Super Bowl episode was Sir Elton John (expect a John tribute episode as part of Glee‘s back nine episodes).
The post-Super Bowl episode will instead keep with the evening’s sports theme and focus on the local football championship and Sue Sylvester’s cheerleading regionals (the “Thriller” mash-up will be played during halftime of the onscreen pigskin game). Basically, it will be a classic episode of Glee, but just bigger and better; Gleeks can also expect appearances from season two fan favorites: Blaine (Darren Criss) and Coach Beiste (Dot-Marie Jones). Oh, and General Motors is co-sponsoring the episode, which likely means there will be limited commercial interruptions.

Being a high-profile Glee fan has its perks. The Fox phenom is in talks with CBS Evening News anchor (and self-proclaimed Gleek) Katie Couric to make a cameo in the show's post-Super Bowl episode on Feb. 6. A Fox source declined to comment, but an insider tells me that Couric would play herself in a scene with Emmy winner Jane Lynch. A portion of the episode revolves around Lynch's Sue attending the regional cheerleading championships with her Cheerios squad.

I really liked the character of Holly Holiday for some reason. And she can actually sing. :)

    http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/01/08/glee-exclusive-gwyneth-paltrow-ladygaga/

EW has learned exclusively that the phenomenal Gwyneth Paltrow is officially reprising her role as Holly Holliday for TWO episodes of Glee in the spring and she’s gettin’ it on with Mr. Schuester!!! Says co-creator Ryan Murphy, “Gwyneth is coming back for two episodes. She’s coming back specifically to date Will [Matthew Morrison]. Those two have become really good friends in real life and had really good chemistry. She’s coming back as a sex education teacher. Gwyneth and I are emailing, talking every week: What are we gonna sing? We’re trying to do something fantastic. So she’ll be [in episodes] 15 and 16. She comes back [to film] in January and she’s with us for three and a half weeks I think.”
You think that would be enough but I have even more redonkulous news: Lady Gaga just this week gave the Glee producers clearance for tackling her highly anticipated new single, “Born This Way,” which hasn’t even dropped yet. Murphy reveals that the song will be used in a March or April episode and will be centered around closeted gay bully Karofsky (Max Adler). “I love that that song is anthem,” says Murphy. “This show is by nature optimistic and I think a character like Karofsky could turn to booze or pills or alcohol and kill themselves or do something dark. But I also love Max and I love that character and I sorta want that character to have a happy ending. So I don’t really know what that’s going to be, but I do know we’re going to do a whole episode that’s about that song.”
And there’s one more Glee favorite returning: Kristin Chenoweth. She will be back as April Rhodes in the last batch of episodes of the season for a multi-episode arc.

    http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/ustv/s57/glee/news/a297023/charice-to-return-for-super-bowl-glee.html

Charice will reportedly return to Glee for the next episode.

Charice signed up to play foreign exchange student Sunshine in the Fox series.

However, the singer only appeared in the second season premiere as Sunshine left McKinley High to join Carmel High and their glee club Vocal Adrenaline.

According to Zap2It, Charice will now reprise her role in the upcoming Super Bowl episode of Glee. She is expected to perform Black Eyed Peas track 'Meet Me Halfway' with the rest of Vocal Adrenaline.

Glee returns for a new episode after the Super Bowl on February 6 on Fox. The second season premieres in the UK tonight at 9pm on E4.

    http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/ustv/s57/glee/news/a298288/anne-hathaway-confirmed-for-glee.html

Glee creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed that Anne Hathaway will be appearing on the show.

The Love and Other Drugs star previously revealed that she would love to guest star on the show - named 'Best Comedy Series' at the Golden Globes last night - as Kurt's (Chris Colfer) aunt.

Speaking to E!'s Kristin Dos Santos, Murphy added: "The thing that's great about Anne Hathaway is that she created her own character and we just ran into her and we said 'Really?' So we're going to do that. We love her."

Amber Riley - Mercedes in the hit show - admitted that some of the cast had only found out the news "about ten minutes ago".

Murphy did not confirm any more information on the role or when Hathaway will appear.

Glee returns to Fox on February 6 in the US, and continues on E4 at 9pm on Mondays in the UK.

Let's hope you haven't had your fill of silly love songs, because there's a colorful collection of classics — both old and new — lined up for Glee's February 8 Valentine's Day episode. "The name of the episode is 'Silly Love Songs,'" Matthew Morrison (Will) tells me. "My assignment to the kids is to have them perform love songs, so we're doing some fun classics that are Valentines-y."
Here, exclusively, is the full lineup of Glee's "Valentines-y" songs:
Katy Perry's "Firework," performed by Rachel (Lea Michele)
Queen's "Fat Bottomed Girls," performed by Puck (Mark Salling)
Michael Jackson's "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)," performed by Artie (Kevin McHale)
Babes In Arms' "My Funny Valentine," performed by Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz)
Robin Thicke's "When I Get You Alone," performed by Blaine (Darren Criss) and the Warblers
And of course, Paul McCartney's "Silly Love Songs," performed by The Warblers
I'm hearing some hearts may be broken in this pivotal episode.

    http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/01/19/glee-couple-break-up/
We’re only a few weeks away from Glee‘s ginormous, post-Super Bowl episode airing Feb. 6, but, here at EW, we’re already thinking about the rest of season 2. There’s been a slew of fresh romances this season — Tina & Mike, Sam & Quinn, Artie & Brittany — but EW can exclusively reveal that one of those couples will be biting the dust soon. SPOILER ALERT!
The pair that will be joining Rachel and Finn as the latest New Directions exes are the show’s resident hot blonds, Sam and Quinn. Says co-creator Ryan Murphy, “I got bored. They were too perfect.” But that doesn’t mean that Sam will be on his own. “He starts dating Santana,” says Murphy. “He needs a little salsa spice.” Murphy adds that Quinn will also find comfort in the form of her old boyfriend, Finn. Shocking!

    http://www.glamourmagazine.co.uk/celebrity/celebrity-news/2011/01/27/matthew-morrison-says-glee-will-get-racier

Matthew Morrison has hinted that Glee will get racier. The actor, who plays Mr Schu in the series, admitted that he was surprised with what the show could get away with. "I think this show is going to be more racier," he said. "I think the writers on our show constantly try to push the boundaries." The star even revealed that cast members were planning to strip in a future episode. "We did this thing where one of the characters is singing for the first time... and in order to get over their nerves, they have to see people in their underwear to make them feel better, more confident, about... singing," he revealed. "Sometimes I read the script [and] I'm like, 'How are we going to get away with this, being an 8 o'clock show on a Tuesday night?' But I think TV's a different medium than it used to be."

    http://www.tvline.com/2011/02/glee-exclusive-gwyneth-paltrow-matthew-morrison-to-cover-prince/

When Gwyneth Paltrow returns to Glee on March 8, the show will be giving her the royal treatment — a Prince song to sing!
In the episode, the Oscar winner will team with leading man Matthew Morrison on a sexed-up version of the onetime glyph’s ’80s smash, “Kiss.” The duet represents a huge get for the Fox smash’s behind-the-scenes team, as His Highness very rarely licenses his music for television.
Storywise, Paltrow’s roving substitute, Holly Holiday, returns to McKinley High to fill in for the MIA sex ed teacher. Cue more flying sparks between her and Morrison’s Mr. Schuester, and presto, a purportedly too-hot-for-TV version of Prince’s classic is born. And what would a cover of “Kiss” be without a literal liplock? Rhetorical question, people. Yes, Holly and Will pucker up.

    http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/ustv/s57/glee/news/a311864/new-glee-episode-to-be-extended.html

An upcoming episode of Glee will be extended to 90 minutes, reports have suggested.

According to TV Line, the 'Born This Way' instalment will be lengthened because there is so much happening in the show.

The episode, which will feature a performance of the Lady GaGa track 'Born This Way', is expected to focus on the characters as they struggle with their self-image.

Rachel (Lea Michele) will consider having cosmetic surgery on her nose, while Lauren (Ashley Fink) will run for prom queen.

Meanwhile, Max Adler has previously suggested that the episode could involve a storyline for his character Karofsky and Cory Monteith claimed that it "gets kind of heavy".

Negotiations about extending the episode are thought to be ongoing, but if Fox agrees then producers are reportedly planning to shoot two more musical numbers to fill the time.

A spokesperson for Fox declined to comment.

Glee returns for a new episode in the US on April 19 on Fox and continues in the UK on Mondays at 9pm on E4.

Remember me telling you a few weeks back that there were no current plans for Jonathan Groff to reprise his role as Rachel’s evil ex Jesse St. James this season on Glee?
Those plans have changed — big time.
Sources confirm to me exclusively that the fan favorite has closed a deal to return for this season’s final three episodes.

Groff exited Glee at the end of Season 1 when the Vocal Adrenaline frontman’s diabolical scheme to infiltrate and bring down New Directions was revealed. Next thing you know Jesse’s back with VA and Rachel’s heart is in tatters.
“He’s back to apologize to Rachel,” confides a source close to the show, “and perhaps get her back.”

Thoughts? Pumped Lea Michele’s real-life BFF is back? Do you hope Jesse succeeds in winning back Rachel? Hit the comments!

    :(

final nail in the coffin imo.........

The cast of 'Glee' will be having "fun, fun, fun, fun" pretty soon. Confused? Well, it was bound to happen. The cast of 'Glee' will reportedly cover Rebecca Black's YouTube sensation 'Friday.'

According to Vulture, the song will get the 'Glee' treatment from cast members Kevin McHale, Chord Overstreet and Mark Salling.

This isn't the first time 'Glee' has covered an uber-popular song. They have previously performed Cee Lo Green's 'Forget You,' a number of Lady Gaga's hits and later this season repeat guest star Gwyneth Paltrow will sing Adele's 'Turning Tables.'

The one difference? Those songs are by actual recording artists; 'Friday' is by a 13-year-old girl.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1378740/Glee-creators-angry-Twitter-message-extra-leaks-Prom-night-storyline.html

A Glee extra has got into trouble with one of its creators when she tweeted who would be named prom king and queen on the show.
The day player tweeted a message on Sunday to her followers revealing the spoiler but Glee's writer, producer and creator Brad Falchuk was not impressed when he saw the message.
Nicole Crowther who has appeared in scenes on the hit television musical wrote a message saying: 'K is PQ and Ka is PK.'

E! Online claims this means Kurt, played by Chris Colfer, will be prom queen while Karofsky, played by Max Adler, is prom king in the gay storyline.
Falchuk then wrote to Crowther: 'Hope you're qualified to do something besides work in entertainment. Who are you to spoil something talented people have spent months to create?'
She later wrote a message saying: 'They are not doing reshoots because of my careless mistake so shut up haters and leave me alone. Grow up and get a life.'
The user later disappeared off the social networking site after receiving negative tweets from fans disappointed she'd leaked the storyline which may now have to be filmed again.
She has since been fired as a regular extra on the hugely successful show.

But a source insider said that the contracts for day-players don't contain non-disclosure agreement language that would provide for punishment when plot secrets are revealed.
So although the studio who produce the show and the network will likely never hire the extra again, there are not that many legal ramifications for spilling the secrets.
The Hollywood Reporter said that studio that produce Glee, 20th Century Fox, are now looking at more stringent ways to keep their storylines a secret.
'The studio is considering amending all of its talent deals - from series regulars to day players like Crowther - to include strict punishments for blabbing online', the publication stated.

Tom Cruise is set to follow in fellow Hollywood A-lister Gwyneth Paltrow's footsteps by appearing in Glee, it has been reported.
The actor is apparently in talks to play a failed and aging pop star who is teaching a Glee club at a rival school.
A source told reporters: "They are willing to let him have a lot of input into his character just to try to get him on the show. They know Katie and Suri are big fans."
Rumour has it that the 48-year-old is currently undergoing vocal training for his role as a singer in Rock Of Ages.

In case you missed the photos and tweets burning up the web today, the Fox phenom is shooting scenes on location in New York this week for the Nationals-themed season finale. Among the iconic stops: Times Square, Lincoln Center and, TVLine can confirm exclusively, the Gershwin Theatre — home to Broadway’s Wicked.
According to a Big Apple spywitness, Lea Michele (Rachel) and Chris Colfer (Kurt) are scheduled to shoot scenes at the theatre Monday afternoon. Might the pair reteam for an encore performance of “Defying Gravity” from season 1? Perhaps they’re merely sightseeing — and happen to run into onetime Glinda Kristin Chenoweth (aka Glee‘s April Rhodes)?
Whatever it is, it sure has Michele hyper. “I’m so excited about what we’re about to do!!!!” she just tweeted. And something tells me she wasn’t referring to the TKTS booth in Times Square.

Glee star Matthew Morrison is to perform his new single on the show as part of its second season finale later this month.

It has been confirmed that Morrison, who plays Glee club teacher Will Schuester on the series, will perform the ballad 'Still Got Tonight' on the upcoming New York-themed episode.

The single, from Morrison's self-titled debut album, was co-written by former American Idol winner Kris Allen.

"It was going to be just a big dance piece with me doing this big dance number," Morrison explained to The Hollywood Reporter. "But they said, 'We want you to sing it and make it a big moment'."

The actor explained that series creator Ryan Murphy was keen to use 'Still Got Tonight' in the episode, and convinced Fox chairman Dana Walden that singing an original song would be in keeping with the character.

"We worked really hard to make it feel organic to the show," Murphy said, regarding the song's inclusion.

The season two finale of Glee is scheduled to air in the US on May 24.
