I got to 5970 today but the way my motherboard is. the two cards seat nearly on top of eachother. will this wreck the cards?

Thanks Solitaire, your a big help. but heads wrecked now everytime I call dell they can't understand me, There like just hold for 3mins, more like 30mins. im thinking a should have bought 2 gtx480's instead now.
