    Mod Note.

This has been approved, Link All World Cup threads go there.

Some one suggested this in one of the many World cup threads now populating the Gambling forum. Its hard to look at the Gambling forum with the amount of "World Cup" written everywhere. I'm a fan of the World Cup so don't get me wrong, I just prefer something be done so other topics aren't drowned out.

I suggest you show your support for a temporary World Cup Sub Forum. All the relevant threads can be moved there by a moderator and then renamed to exclude the term world cup, ie.,:

    Previews
    Top Scorer
    Outright

    etc.

Is there any support for the idea?

There's 9 threads with 'world cup' in the title just on the first page, good thinking.

Link to "Forum Requests" Forum. Chuck some posts in there to show support for the suggestion.

Maybe a just a megathread at the top?

One thread per game per day should be enough? All bets which related to that game to go in there?

    Yes to a sub-forum ,definitely.
A big NO to megathread or daily threads...outrights and match bets etc would be mixed and you couldn't have a coherent thread....

Great idea be brillaint for during the tournament won't be clogging up the main forum. Megathread would be way too messy.

Good idea. Make a World Cup antepost sticky up the top and then maybe open up 1 more thread for match betting where all match tips can be put in running during the tournament.

I'll open up that thread now if it's not there already.

    Edit: Done

I have bulk moved a heap of world cup threads into the new sub forum, I think it should cover the recently active threads

I will move anymore as I come across them

Thanks to the Admins (and Tom Dunne) for making this happen so quickly
