Did someone draw a Willy or something?

Knockers! Sure the Brooklyn hoardings around Murphy Floods are an eyesore anyway.

That's the lad that always went around wearing stupid clothes and hung out with the strawberry princesses, Along with a few other drama Queens/Kings and including the local paparazzi he thinks himself to be some sort of celebrity. I wouldn't mind but all he ever done was drive a taxi in town.

I presume the Slaney News is no more?

Whoever had editorial control over the content needs to have a word with themselves in retrospect; how they even permitted the first poem to be published much less ELEVEN is a derogation of duty.

I note his brief's trying to get a Circuit Ct. hearing moved out of Co. Wexford; I hope his request is refused.

This lad's a whole bunch of cray cray.

Peter is gone a few weeks now. His manner left a lot to be desired I'm not surprised he's closed.

I thought Ronan from the gym in the L&N car park had moved in there.

He was drugged out of his mind most of the time, but he was a good bike mechanic.

Whether you like him or not he's still entitled to a fair trial. He could have been led on a bit too.

Where's the Celtic Tiger? Boomtown I think one of the local rags referred to Enniscorthy as a few months back.

I didn't know he had problems with drugs, they're guaranteed to take everything you have.

It's travelling in a white van up and down the N11.

Surprisingly (?) few people visited the Flood Defence Scheme exhibition in the Athenaeum last week - it moves to the library today and reopens there tomorrow. If you have any concerns there are forms with pre-stamped envelopes to send them in to the powers that be.

What is proposed is truly staggering and will complete destroy the amenity value of the Slaney within the immediate vicinity of the town. Have a look at this video - the second half of which is apocalyptic!

Would have thought they'd build it away from the river and leave access to the riverbank. Not great in fairness.

Also why the Berlin Wall effort at the top of the Prom?

Another absolute shambles thats going to ruin the look of town, All that needs to be done is dig the river bed down and also remove the island north of the railway bridge and remove the baremeadows. loads of people have been saying this for years but the powers that be just wont listen. this abomination is going to look like something like a storm drain running through a US city.

The CGI makes Enniscorthy look clean and tidy... is this part of the plan too I wonder :-)

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,017 ✭✭✭jpb1974

On a serious note - I agree, I think this will absolutely ruin whatever aesthetics exist along the river. Large walls with glass windows around the 9 minute mark... ughh. Who wants to walk alongside an 7 foot wall for a breath of fresh air with their dog? You can be sure that the glass will become scratched and foggy within 5-10 years.

It's most certainly another local authority cluster f in the making.

Is it just me or does it look like there'll be no parking along the river between Abbey Square and The Riverside Hotel ?

Not only that , but you won't really get to see the river unless you look through a window .

See the screengrab from that video -

I have been saying for years, that the only time a tourist " the rare 1 that is" who ventures north of the Maldron roundabout can see Enniscorthy is when they arrive at the new bridge. Here is what anyone sees of Enniscorthy Castle, Riverside hotel or the River as they travel past St Senans hospital on the way into to town.

Here's another impression of it. Doesn't need to be more than three or four feet high.

Apparently this is so and Dessie Sheehan is moving to Martin Doyle's former butcher shop.
