I was travelling through Enniscorthy early this morning and saw it. It is huge. Great spot though. The views from the top will be fab.

Four replies to my email so far - two TDs + two councillors but will anything come of it.

Well, surprise, surprise it's now Thursday 2nd August and no attempt to address the three issues that I raised. It's obvious the very overworked officials are in charge of the town rather than the elected representatives. As for local residents raising concerns why bother.

    What were the issues?

You don't know the first thing about me and I have little time but I actually take an interest in my town. Do you?

It seems that I was a bit harsh on the Council and the the pole outside the SVP has - at last - been straightened. Hallelujah!

Perhaps phone the relative department in the council ? The councilors don't have as much influence and say as they use to

Wexford Co Co have a complaints dept.
Might be a black hole, usually better going to head office though.

I’d say the list of clients waiting to move in is as long as your arm. In other words, it’ll still be empty in five years time

There was keen interest for three units at least from a year ago. Seems to be still the case.

Was in Enniscorthy earlier and there was a great stir about town. Great festival atmosphere, plenty for the kids to do, not to expensive. I loved it.

Had breakfast with two Dublin friends in "The Little Spoon" - superb! Followed by pints and sandwiches while watching the Irish Women's hockey team beating Spain in the World Cup in the Antique Tavern. Good band in the Square just finished up and the weather is holding up nicely.

Great crowds in the town today, good vibe and buzz about the place. I even took a spin on the Enniscorthy Eye.
I was kinda annoyed at in laws who won't bother venturing in because "the place is too packed".
Better packed than the usual tumbleweed we see 99% of the time.

Great weekend and a fantastic buzz about the place. Just two incidents that managed to spoil my otherwise feel-good mood:

    1) Tired on Saturday evening so took myself away down to the river to blow away the cobwebs and witnessed an adult female with kids in a buggy throw her plastic drinks bottle into the river. I was going to say something but as there was a crowd with her I thought better of it.

    2) Some feral individual defecated outside my front door last night. However, having lived in the town centre for 10+ years I knew to open the door carefully after a festival.
