I often look out to see what the cows are doing to predict if it will rain. Usually if all the cows in a field are sitting/lying down it means rain is on the way. This has proven true almost all the time. apparently the cows sence the oncoming rain and lie down to keep a nice warm dry patch.
The other day an old man told me if the swallows are flying high it means the weather should be fair as the flies are flying high.
Do any of you have any other old ways to predict the immediate weather, (if we could please keep this thread to predicting the immediate weather thanks)
    Thanks folks
