Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Folks

Does anyone have any good links to Irish or other sites that sell cables and adapters

    HDMI
    DVI to HDMI
    S-Video
    Scart
    USB
    etc etc

I just dont fancy paying PC World fortunes for cables. I was wondering if there was a good cable seller online perhaps with cheap or free delivery?

    Hi DNME,

Maplin Electronics would be a good place to go for adapters, although you can get a cheap HDMI for €9.99 in xtra vision (plenty of threads on here about the merits of cheap vs expensive HDMI cables)

Many thanks although I have to say, Maplin are another retailer that really make their money on peripherals and accessories so cables there are bloody expensive.

With modern digital kit, there is a lot of rubbish spoken about quality - gold connectors etc. Any decent quality cable will do as the signal either gets to its destination over a certain noise threshold or it does not.

There are places online where I can get decent HDMI cables for 3 or 4 quid which is perfectly reasonable, but I hate the 20 quid delivery......

    So my question remains
